– GE HealthCare and DeepHealth, a RadNet company, have announced a strategic collaboration to drive innovation and adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in medical imaging. 

– The partnership aims to develop SmartTechnology™ solutions that address challenges across the imaging value chain, ultimately improving patient care.

Enhancing the Imaging Value Chain with AI

The collaboration will leverage GE HealthCare’s imaging expertise and scale, RadNet’s experience in care delivery, and DeepHealth’s AI-powered informatics portfolio to create solutions that:

  • Increase Efficiency: Streamline imaging interpretation and reporting workflows.
  • Improve Collaboration: Enhance communication and coordination across care teams.
  • Enhance Clinical Interpretation: Improve the accuracy and efficiency of image analysis.
  • Boost Productivity: Optimize operational efficiency and productivity in imaging departments.

AI-Powered Breast Cancer Screening

As a first step, the companies will focus on integrating DeepHealth’s AI-based SmartMammo™ workflow and clinical solution with GE HealthCare’s Senographe Pristina™ mammography system. This integration aims to enhance breast cancer screening by providing AI-powered clinical imaging support. Key features and benefits include: 

  • DeepHealth’s SmartMammo™: An AI-powered SaaS solution designed to seamlessly integrate into existing breast cancer diagnostic workflows, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency. It includes a cloud-native image viewer, radiologist worklist integration, and AI detection tools for lesion localization.
  • GE HealthCare’s Senographe Pristina™: A patient-centric mammography system designed to provide a comfortable and anxiety-reducing experience for patients.
  • Smart Alerts: A DeepHealth workflow solution that utilizes rapid AI processing to alert imaging sites to potentially suspicious lesions in minutes, enabling same-day diagnostic exams and reducing patient anxiety.
