Free event offers tips for women’s heart health and wellness

The Feb. 5 event, planned by the McKenzie Health System Foundation, is focused on women’s heart health.

The McKenzie Health System Foundation is inviting women from across the community to attend the annual Little Red Dress event, focused on women’s heart health, according to a community announcement.

The event is scheduled for 5 p.m. Feb. 5 at Lakeview Hills Country Club & Resort, 6560 Peck Road in Lexington.

The free community event will begin with doors opening at 5 p.m., followed by presentations starting at 6 p.m. The evening is designed to educate and empower women by highlighting how lifestyle factors such as stress, sleep and nutrition impact heart health.

Keynote presentation to focus on heart health

The keynote presentation will be delivered by Vipin Khetarpal, M.D., an interventional cardiologist, who will discuss how sugar, stress, cortisol and sleep impact heart health. His presentation will offer practical insight into the connection between everyday habits and cardiovascular health.

In addition, attendees will hear a brief service spotlight on new cosmetic services available through McKenzie Health and Wellness. Nicole Krosnicki, DNP, FNP-C, will share information about microneedling and laser therapy for hair removal, scars, discoloration and fine lines — services powered by InMode technology.

The Little Red Dress event will also include vendor shopping, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and time for conversation and connection. Wearing a red dress or red attire is encouraged but not required.

Registration required for free event

“We are proud to continue this meaningful event that brings women together to focus on heart health and overall wellness,” Melissa Anderson, McKenzie Foundation Community Relations Chair, said in the announcement. “By offering this event at no cost, we hope to make important health education accessible while creating a welcoming space for learning and connection.”

Registration is required, with a capacity limit of 125 guests. Reservations must be made by Jan. 31 at www.McKenzieHealth.org/LittleRedDress or by calling 810-648-6127. A waitlist will be available once capacity is reached.
